The Dolphins

"The Dolphins" is located next to the Los Arcos Amphitheater on the Malecon, in El Centro. This fountain is a modern bronze sculpture sitting atop a circular domed shape fountain. Sculptor James Bottoms created it as a gift to Puerto Vallarta from sister city, Santa Barbara California. The three dolphins in the monument represent the brotherhood of the two cities and the friendship that unites them. Each dolphin appears to look in a different direction, one towards the city, one towards the sky and the other to the sea. Photo: Danilo Rottigni.
