Tequila is more than just a liquor – it’s a destination! And now you can discover the soul of Mexico and its national drink with a trip to this classic town, designated a “Pueblo Mágico,” or “Magical Town,” nationally.
Be driven to the Puerto Vallarta airport for your 9 am flight aboard a private Cessna plane. On the way, you’ll fly over the mountains of Mexico, viewing landscape dotted with rugged craters followed by flat farmlands. A private air-conditioned van, stocked with refreshments, will take you from the Guadalajara airport to Tequila, a trip of about 45 minutes. Everything expected of a small Mexican town is here, but this town also has the sweet, distinct aroma of baked agave.
Your tour will take place at the magnificent estates of Mundo Cuervo. The home of the most popular tequila sold in the United States, it is the oldest tequila distillery and one of the largest and most beautiful settings for learning about the fascinating process.
From the growing and harvesting of the magnificent agave plants to the aging of the precious brew, you will be fascinated by every step in this process. Tour the famous Reserva de la Familia. The cava, or vault, with its rock-lined walls, where the pride of tequila is stored, will be open to you, and you will learn secrets from a professional tequila taster.
Later, enjoy a sip of tequila or a perfect margarita in the beautiful patios and gardens, and then a luscious four-course comida accompanied by Jose Cuervo drinks. But before leaving, make sure to visit the museum and shop, where renowned artists show gallery-worthy pieces and glorious textiles are available.
If you would like a further treat before being transported by van back to the airport for the return flight, Mundo Cuervo can arrange for mariachis, a folkloric ballet or other typical entertainment. It would be another look into the heart of Mexico. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
