Puerto Vallarta Navy Museum Opens Its Doors-Main

Puerto Vallarta's brand-new Navy Museum and Naval Historical Center opened its doors this week in El Centro next to Los Arcos. It's goal is to exhibit and preserve maritime history and culture from Mexico. The permanent collection includes cartography, documents, images, navigation instruments, paintings, scale models, among other objects that will allow you to understand navigation techniques in civilizations past, all distributed in five different rooms. Admission is free for all. The museum features galleries such as South Sea Expeditions and Discoveries, Phillippine Islands and Nao of China Expedition, Puerto Vallarta and San Blas, Islands of South Sea, and Army of Mexico. The museum is open to the public Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
