Punta de Mita Beaches
One of two beaches on this pretty peninsula at the northern tip of Banderas Bay, the road to Punta de Mita's Emiliano Zapata neighborhood leads right to it.
One of two beaches on this pretty peninsula at the northern tip of Banderas Bay, (the other is El Anclote, a little further down the road). Access is through Punta de Mita's Emiliano Zapata neighborhood, which is the first turn-off on the left, just after the turn-off to Sayulita on the right. Keep to the left and follow the road all the way to the beach. While there are no restaurants or facilities here, (although facilities were under construction when we wrote this), this is an ideal beach for strolling, for absorbing incredible beauty and tangy sea air. At a leisurely pace it can be walked in about half an hour, or an hour round trip.
