Robert Lamb retired, after twenty-seven years in the Air Force as a Brigadier General. He has a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry and spent ten years as the Head of the Chemistry and Biology Departments at the Air Force Academy. He then went to Saudi Arabia for two years as Manager of Training and Education for Bechtel Corporation in a project aimed at transforming a small fishing village on the Arabian Gulf into a modern city. The following fifteen years were spent as Vice President for International Graduate Programs at Boston University. He has published numerous articles on science and education in professional journals and given lectures in India, Europe, and the Middle East. He now lives with his wife, Carolyn, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
