Victor M. Castañeda
The friendly people of Puerto Vallarta enticed him to relocate to this beautiful city.
Kitchen creativity has been part of Victor Manuel Castaneda Romero's life since he was a kid growing up in Tequila, Jalisco. Food was a big part of his upbringing and now he shares his love of cuisine with everyone at Si Señor Beach Restaurant on Los Muertos Beach in Puerto Vallarta.
Victor draws inspiration from his family and later in life from a good friend that worked in a restaurant for many years. He hung out at the restaurant and learned a lot. As soon as he could, he started taking cooking courses and secured a position as a chef's assistant at a popular Tequila restaurant.
In 2010 he moved to Puerto Vallarta because he wanted to live in a beach town. Victor says that the friendly people enticed him to relocate to the beautiful city. He loves to work in the kitchen because he can exercise his passion for cooking and creativity. When the clients are happy, he is happy.
Victor specializes in creating new dishes from traditional Mexican recipes and adding a modern twist. He also likes sweets and has developed a new dessert menu for the restaurant. One day he hopes to open his own restaurant or bakery and teach others how to cook.
