After a successful premiere event in which over 200 local cyclists participated, Mundo Ceiba is inviting folks of all ages to their second Sunday stroll entitled "En Bici por Vallarta" - Cycling through Vallarta - on Sunday, March 21, starting at 9:00 am and continuing until 1:00 pm. The gathering, which celebrates the arrival of Spring, will take place at Jesus Rodriguez Ave. in Fluvial Vallarta. Participants are encouraged to decorate their bikes and compete to win the prize for the best decorated bicycle. By organizing events such as this one, Mundo Ceiba hopes to integrate cycling as a safe and environmentally friendly transportation alternative in the city, integrating cyclists and cars in a road culture of mutual respect.
"En Bici por Vallarta" takes place in a space that is typically designated for automotive traffic. On this day, however, the designated streets within Fluvial Vallarta will be available exclusively for cycling, rollerblading, running, walking, or just enjoying the area with family and friends. As a part of the event, yoga (10:00 am) and rumba classes (11:00 am) will be offered. Several activities for children have also been scheduled. All these activities are free.
