Puerto Vallarta Mayor Salvador Gonzalez Resendiz atended the a tribute for Mexican artist Martha Chapa, also known as “La Pintora de las Manzanas” (the apple painter). The tribute was one of several activities offered during the first-ever women painting competition called La Mujer y sus Pinceles.

This event, during which a Golden Brush award was awarded to Martha Chapa, took place at the Los Arcos amphitheater in Puerto Vallarta’s Malecon. Martha Chapa has participated in 220 individual exhibitions and a 1,800 art collectives in Mexico, United States, and several Latin American and European countries.
