To keep the green concept as fresh in everyone’s minds as a newly sprouted plant, Marriott distributes these 100% biodegradable pens made of corn-based polymers that feature a special container with arugula, basil, dill and fennel seeds. Once the pen’s ink is depleted, the seeds can be scattered in your backyard. Produced in Mexico by Sustenta, a Mexico City-based company specializing in green product marketing (www.sustenta.com), the pen itself can also be buried in the ground, where it will completely disintegrate within three years.
