Best Dream Come True: The entreAmigos Community Center

In last year’s “Best Of” issue, we highlighted the fact that entreAmigos had just received official authorization from Nayarit’s government to move into an unoccupied warehouse at the entrance to San Pancho in Riviera Nayarit. In an effort spearheaded by relentless community leader Nicole Swedlow, the space was slowly but meticulously transformed, using all sorts of re-purposable materials, from melted plastic soda bottles turned into wall panels to metal gas tanks cut in half and turned into light fixtures.

One year later, the new community center opened its doors to become the best dream come true for the children of San Pancho and the many supporters behind this soulful organization. Visit their website at www.entreamigos.org.mx or, better yet, stop by on your next visit to San Pancho. It’s guaranteed to leave a smile on your face!
