Puerto Vallarta Publications
There are numerous publications, both in print and online, on Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit. This section includes information on magazines, newspapers, websites and books that have been created about the destination.
Newspapers and Magazines
For magazines, the most popular (and published by the parent company of this site, the Vallarta Lifestyles Publishing Group (VLPG)), in the region is Vallarta Lifestyles, which has been in print since 1989. Ten years of issues are available online to read, in an easy-to-use, online eReader. You can browse through pages similar to reading the real physical publication. VLPG also publishes an annual boating guide called Vallarta Nautica, and these are available online to view as well. And for your convenience, we are grouping an increasing number of articles into Special Publications.
Popular weekly papers (which also have an online presence) are Vallarta Today, PV Mirror, Ambito and the Vallarta Tribune, which are freebies and can be found most commonly at cafes throughout the region. For real estate, there is the monthly Vallarta Real Estate Guide (also by VLPG). In English the two most popular newspapers are the Vallarta Today and the Vallarta Tribune.
And if you are looking for a good map, ask for the Vallarta Lifestyles Map & Mini-Guide. Great maps with walking and driving tours included, as well as a great restaurant directory.
Websites
Online there is, of course, this website, which we believe has more information than any site you'll find on Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit. As mentioned the local newspapers also have information websites with links provided above. However, you may also want to check out the official websites - for Puerto Vallarta: visitpuertovallarta.com, for Riviera Nayarit: rivieranayarit.com. For information about certain communities within Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit, check out our Community Page section, where we include links to the sites that we feel provide the best information. For real estate information, check out MLSVallarta.com or VallartaRealEstateGuide.com.
Books
There have been two large-size, pictorial books written about Puerto Vallarta, but unfortunately both are now out of print. There are, however, a proliferation of books by local writers, some about the destination, others not, some of which we have included below.
Vallarta Lifestyles The destination's premier community publication since 1989, providing information on what's happening in Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit, including dining, shopping, art, activities and real estate options.
Vallarta Nautica The premier guide to all things nautical in the oceanfront paradise of Banderas Bay, with great aerial images and descriptions of favorite anchorages and marinas, popular shore side destinations and much more.

Includes the listings of the local MLS service, Multi-List Vallarta, as well as regular articles on topics such as buying real estate in Mexico, most popular residential areas of Vallarta and more.
