In an effort to showcase the varied live music scene available throughout Banderas Bay and help promote our destination's vibrant cultural scene, Vallarta Lifestyles has begun extending invitations to local musicians to visit our offices and share some of their gifts with us, and our readers. "There is so much creativity, musically speaking, throughout the Bay, we want to do our part in helping visitors and locals to connect with our finest performers," commented Managing Editor, Paco Ojeda, who was inspired by National Public Radio's very successful Tiny Desk Concert series, which have featured the likes of Adele, Juanes, Julieta Venegas and the Turtle Island String Quartet, among others.

Lifestyles' series begins with a visit by Tatewari, a Flamenco Fusion group originally from La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, in Riviera Nayarit. "Not only were they thrilled to be featured, their setup—two acoustic guitars and an electric bass—made it very easy for us to try to capture their sound in our small conference room," added Ojeda. The resulting performance is featured below.

Stay in touch with Tatewari and learn details about their upcoming performances by liking their Facebook page. Musicians interested in being featured in the series can contact Vallarta Lifestyles via email.
