Taste Opens for the Season with New Executive Chef and Mediterranean Cuisine

Taste Restaurant@Casa Cupula has re-opened for the season under the direction of Chef Juan Pablo Ramirez Luna, one of the best-known chefs on the Vallarta gourmet scene, formerly of La Palapa. This season Taste is introducing Mediterranean food to its selection of three cuisines:  Mediterranean, Mexican and Asian. New dishes include a robust and flavorful seafood Zarzuela, featuring mussels, shrimp and fish in a rich tomato based soup. Vegetarians will enjoy a delicious Fusilli with Portobello and Hearts of Artichoke with fresh Parmesan cheese slices. At the same time, tried and true favorites, like their Black Ravioli, remain in their flavorful menu to anchor Taste’s cuisine.

Under the restaurant’s unique concept, any dish may be purchased in a half-portion or “Taste” for under $130 pesos (about $10 USD). This allows diners to sample one plate from each cuisine and take a gourmet trip around the world in one meal. Taste is open for dinner from 6pm-11pm Tuesday to Saturday.  A gourmet breakfast and lunch menu poolside are also available. Taste’s legendary Sunday Mimosa brunch is open to the public from 10am to 2pm beginning November 3. For more information, check out Taste online.
