Sayulita’s Beach Clean-Up Days Return

Published Aug 22, 2013, 3:51pm - (Updated Oct 21, 2013, 12:32pm)

As in years past, Punta Sayulita, in conjunction with Ocean Conservancy, is restarting their ongoing beach clean-up days in Sayulita, the popular destination in Riviera Nayarit, less than an hour north of Puerto Vallarta. Then next event will take place on Saturday, September 7, beginning at 9:30 am. The event kicks off at the Punta Sayulita Beach House located next to Don Pedro's Restaurant. At each event, volunteers take over the beach, cleaning trash and debris in a spirit of friendly camaraderie.

Based in Washington, D.C., Ocean Conservancy is a nonprofit environmental advocacy group that helps formulate ocean policy at the federal and state government levels, based on peer-reviewed science. Together with them, Punta Sayulita, a real estate development company, successfully produces community-minded events to enhance the overall Sayulita experience, of which the most popular is the annual Punta Sayulita Longboard and Stand-up Paddle Classic.
