Riviera Nayarit Promotes Destination in New York City

Members of Riviera Nayarit’s Conventions & Visitors Bureau returned from a successful promotional trip in New York City during which award-winning chef Betty Vázquez seduced members of the press with regional cuisine. The trip was timed to celebrate 5 de Mayo, involving a series of activities designed to promote the destination with several important members of the press and publishing houses. 

Considered Riviera Nayarit’s culinary ambassador, Vázquez showcased her “Con Sabor a Mar,” regional cuisine for four days, during which a special event was held at the United States-Mexico’s Chamber of Commerce, Northeast Chapter; a press dinner was enjoyed at the B54 bar at the Times Square Hyatt; finally a special menu was enjoyed by employees of The New York Times at the aforementioned publishing house’s Café.

During the visit, the team was able to connect with important publications, such as Travel + Leisure, Reader’s Digest, Shape, MSN.com, The New York Times, Vogue and Saveur, the most important culinary magazine in the United States.
