The Paradise Community Center in Puerto Vallarta will present Bedazzled Broadway, a new revue featuring local singers, beginning November 2 and continuing every Saturday evening through December 14.

A centerpiece of the production, directed by Sharon Baughman-White will be a tribute to Robert Wise’s 1965 film, The Sound of Music, derived from Rodgers and Hammerstein’s successful Broadway musical. Baughman-White, was herself in the original movie, filmed in Salzburg Austria in 1964. Though her part was small, she has many wonderful memories and stories to tell regarding the filming of the epic film, starring Julie Andrews.

A medley of songs from the film will be presented as well as favorite songs from over 18 Broadway shows, among them, Phantom of The Opera, Les Misérables, Wicked, Chess, Beauty and the Beast, Evita, Sunset Blvd, and South Pacific. Singers involved in the production include Kathy Overly, Todd and Gaye Ringness, David White and Gerardo Zuñiga.

Tickets are $200 pesos per person, available at VallartaTickets.com or at the Paradise Community Center, Pulpito 127, Emiliano Zapata.
