Local Artist Angeline Kyba Opens Studio to Visitors

Published Nov 25, 2013, 5:18pm -

Local artist Angeline Kyba welcomes visitors to her Gringo Gulch studio, near Puerto Vallarta’s El Centro, weekdays Monday to Friday from 12-5 pm. Considered one of Mexico's fine expressionist figurative painters, Kyba offers art enthusiasts a behind-the-scenes experience, enjoying work in progress, work completed, portraits and paintings in oil, large and small. Her subject matter is broad: neighbors and charros, animals and birds, and all things organic and living.

The National Geographic recently used her portrait "Carmen" for a second printing by their educational division, Hampton Brown. Kyba has the honor of having her painting "Miriam Reclining " accepted into the prestigious Quinta Bienal de Monterey and subsequently published in their catalog. Her painting "Besame" graces the cover of the book Erotic Journeys and her work is collected by Cindy Crawford, Connie Francis and museums worldwide. The artist welcomes commissions. Her studio is located at Cuauhtemoc 635.
