Daiquiri Dick’s, an award-winning restaurant in Puerto Vallarta's Emiliano Zapata neighborhood, has just announced a three-course, brunch and fashion show to benefit the Purr Project, a local no-kill feline rescue shelter, to take place on Tuesday, January 28, starting at 10:30 am.

The brunch includes mimosas, a fruit plate and basket of sweet rolls at your table, and a choice of quiche, French toast or scrambled eggs with ham. The event will also feature a fashion show with beautiful gowns and jewelry paraded by local models. Favorite crooner Jorge Acosta will provide music. In addition, raffles will allow those present the chance to win a variety of prizes.

Monies raised at the event will help cover PuRR Project’s operating expenses, which include veterinarian care, spaying and neutering, food, litter, and overall facility maintenance. The shelter currently provides for over 130 stray cats. And for those interested in visiting, there are organized tours of the facility every other Wednesday. Tickets for this special event are $250 pesos in advance, or $300 pesos at the door, and can be purchased at Daiquiri Dick’s, at the PuRR Project booth at the Saturday Market Co-Op or at the organization’s bi-weekly bingo fundraisers at Margarita Grill (Pino Suárez 321).
