Important British authorities, including Diego Gómez Pickering, Mexican Ambassador to the United Kingdom, will spend a few days in Vallarta-Nayarit as part of a fam trip (a trip for travel agents or consultants as a means of promoting a destination) through the region. The visit is being coordinated by the Mexico Tourism Board along with the Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta convention and visitor bureaus. Ambassador Gómez Pickering is joined by Milko Rivera Hope, Director of the Mexican Tourism Board in the United Kingdom, along with several media representatives from the UK, including the Sunday Mirror, Mail on Sunday, Daily Express, Manchester Evening News, Cosmopolitan, Woman Magazine and the Sunday Times. Domestic media will also be present, with journalists from TV Azteca, Notimex and MVS.
During the visit, which will continue through the first week of July, the group will enjoy severa important attractions, including the Marietas Islands, Vallarta Adventures’ Rhythms of the Night, an expedition through the Sierra Madre mountains, and a visit to Sayulita, the surfing mecca in Mexico’s Pacific Coast.
The visit is expected to promote the destination in conjunction with two direct flights from Manchester and London to the Vallarta-Nayarit International Airport, which began in early May.
