Tourism authorities in Puerto Vallarta recognized the U.S. based Alaska Airlines, for 20 years of flying into our destination. Managers of Vallarta’s Tourism Office and Jalisco’s Tourism Office presented a framed certificate bearing the anniversary date of October 15, to mark the first Alaska flight into Vallarta on October 15, 1988. Alaska Airlines CEO William Ayer was proud to receive the certificate from the Puerto Vallarta Motel and Hotel Association Director, Oscar Rivero. In a brief press conference, Mr. Ayer talked about his wishes for the airline to continue flying to Puerto Vallarta for many years to come, commenting that our city is one of the favorites among international travelers flying into Mexico. He also emphasized that the number of seats offered would increase because currently their flights in and out of Vallarta are full to capacity.
