Through her very successful Cartelera Escénica concert series, local cultural promoter Melissa Castro Caviedes has managed to present a broad variety of performers in Puerto Vallarta’s CECATUR auditorium over the past few years. On Friday, February 22, Castro Caviedes will provide visitors and locals with the unique opportunity of enjoying a celtic harp concert by Mexican harpist, Cynthia Valenzuela.

Originally from Veracruz, the National Conservatory of Music graduate has received many international awards, including the BMI Award for Young Composers in New York City, and an MTV Short Film Award, not to mention winning the United States’ National Celtic Harp Competition on three separate occasions.

The artist has recorded over a dozen CD’s and has participated in concerts and festivals throughout the world. At $50 pesos per person, general admission, her performance in Puerto Vallarta, to take place on Friday February 22 at 8:30 pm at the Cecatur Auditorium, will be, without a doubt, the best value, as far as music-related cultural opportunities are concerned. Tickets are available at the box office.
