Although it is only February, preparations for this year’s Restaurant Week, to take place May 15 - 31 as in years past, are already in motion. As is the case in many important cities in the United States, Canada and the rest of the world, Restaurant Week is a special time to enjoy new and favorite restaurants at special, reduced prices. The concept was introduced locally by Vallarta Lifestyles in 2005, and the event has been increasingly successful year after year.
“We think 2013 will be a banner year,” commented Vallarta Lifestyles’ Paco Ojeda, who, along with Juan Pablo Hernández, oversees the production of the annual event. “Now more than ever, visitors and locals seem to be truly looking for great opportunities, so we are hoping that a new crop of restaurants will join those that have participated successfully in years past.”
Participating restaurants offer innovative three-course menus, with three options available for each course. Since the prices are often discounted by up to 50%, dining out during Restaurant Week is not only more fun, but also much more affordable. Presently, participating restaurants can choose to offer their special, Restaurant Week menu at $189 or $299 pesos per person, tips and beverages not included.
If you are considering a trip to Puerto Vallarta in May, and would like to get an idea of what to expect, feel free to browse last year’s Restaurant Week menu guide, featuring menus for all the restaurants that participated in 2012.
