Highlighting their work empowering women artists, Self magazine, a Condé Nast Publication, featured Faith Colectiva, a Puerto Vallarta shop, in its December issue. This is the second year in which the successful jewelry and gift shop features soulful handmade items, some made locally and some imported, such as beautiful handbags made in Guatemala. But their most popular products are their, malas or prayer beads.
Prayer beads are used by members of various religious traditions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, and Roman Catholicism to count the repetitions of prayers, chants or devotions. Beyond their practical use, they are becoming trendy fashion statements.
In order to promote their malas, along with the overall shop philosophy, Faith Colectiva has developed a series of informational videos showcasing their products, which can be found on their own website. The store is located in El Centro at Juárez 207-A.
