Glass artist Carol Anne Anderson and mosaicist Barbara Grace Hill have recently announced upcoming handmade books and basic beading workshops at their Puerto Vallarta workshop. Together, they’ve partnered in the aptly-named “Oops... Perfect!!” venture, encouraging would-be artists to put their fears aside and let their creative selves out. “We hear it all the time,” commented Anderson, a retired art teacher. “People will frequently say things like ‘I can’t make art,’ or ‘I’ll just make a mess and end up failing.’” The team go so far as to promise that any and all of those statements are nothing but myth.
Their upcoming workshops, just in time for the holidays are Hand Made Books, taking place over the course of two days on November 17 & 18, 10am - 2pm, and a one-day Basic Beading session on November 24, 10 am - 2 pm. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org
Rodolfo Rosas' popular mosaic art workshops are taking a break during the month of November but continue in December with a four-day, 16-hour learning opportunity. Together with his partner, Bud Shafer, they own and run Miralo, a gallery of Mexican arts and crafts, where Rosas' spectacular glass art creations are the centerpiece.
Local artist Angeline Kyba has announced the seasonal opening of her studio on Cuauhtemoc 635. in Gringo Gulch, Monday-Friday, 12-5. The artist specializes in oil paintings of Mexico and its people. For more information, please visit her website.
