Countdown to Restaurant Week 2012 (Part 5-7)
Without counting restaurants participating for the first time, this year’s Restaurant Week, May 15 - 31, will feature 12 restaurants offering three-course menus at $189 pesos per person (drinks and tip not included). In the fifth of a seven-part feature, we focus on the second group of $189-menu restaurants, wrapping up the series with all the restaurants participating in Restaurant Week for the first time.

As you enter La Cruz de Huanacaxtle along its main access road, Frascati is one of the first restaurants you'll notice. Located right on the main town rotary, the restaurant features Italian cuisine with spirit and a warm atmosphere derived from the beautiful region of Toscana. And since the restaurant is walking distance from the maritime terminal, a stroll along its beautiful promenade before or after your meal is a must.
Small in size but huge in flavors, La Albufera features family-style Spanish specialties. Previously in Colonia Versalles, the restaurant is now located across the street from the Molino de Agua condos in Colonia Emiliano Zapata, providing visitors not only with an excellent menu, but a myriad possibilities to get acquainted with one of Puerto Vallarta's most sought-after neighborhoods.
Also located in Emiliano Zapata, Peking features Chinese specialties. The Chinese family that owns the restaurant so much wish to connect with visitors and locals, the chef has chosen to go by the easier-to-pronounce name "Miguel" when visiting dining guests from table to table. Be sure to walk half a block toward Los Muertos Beach before or after your meal to witness the progress on the new Los Muertos Pier, currently under construction!
Serving Punta de Mita and surrounding communities, Peppers is located within Rancho Banderas, a beachfront vacation ownership resort located in the North Shore, between La Cruz and Punta de Mita. For those of us that live in Puerto Vallarta, visiting the restaurant is a must. It is located right on the beach, and a day-pass option allows the opportunity of spending the entire day at their facilities, which include multi-level swimming pools with waterfalls, perfect for children!
One of Puerto Vallarta's finest restaurants offering Mexican specialties, Sí Señor now features two different locations: one in El Centro, in the gallery district, and another on Los Muertos beach. While many restaurants in town offer Mexican dishes in their menu, Sí Señor is one of the few that has devoted their creative energy to exploring and celebrating fine Mexican cuisine from the entire country.
Vitea's privileged location along the southern section of the Malecón (between Los Arcos and the Rio Cuale pedestrian bridge) features indoor and al fresco seating, ideal for people watching. Not only will you be treated to fine cuisine (it's owners also own Trio), the service is equally impressive!
