Galería Pacífico Announces Alfredo Langarica Reception

One of the most anticipated events at Galeria Pacifico every season is their solo exhibit of new paintings by Guadalajara based artist, Alfredo Langarica. This year the gallery will offer a cocktail inauguration with the painter in attendance on January 25th and February 1st, from 6:00 to 10:00 PM. Both of these are part of the original Wednesday Art Walk in Puerto Vallarta's El Centro, where Galeria Pacifico is located at 174 Aldama Street, above the Caballito del Mar Gallery and just 75 feet uphill from the landmark Las Palomas Restaurant on the Malecón.
Although Langarica has painted in various styles over his 26 year career, his great skill with the brush is always evident, as is often his sense of humor. He might paint a ballerina who is far too big to dance or an angel of the “fallen” variety working a street corner, but in both cases the textures and blending of colors are masterful and his common use of tiny objects in the background and edges capture the imagination.
Alfredo is one of the best known and most highly collected painters in Guadalajara, Mexico's second largest city, and his inclusion in several museum exhibitions and collections throughout Mexico attest to his skill. His work may also be found in many condos and villas in this area as well as in private residences throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.
His twenty new paintings in this exhibit range in size from 8 x 10 inches to 6 x 8 feet, and although the exhibit will remain on display through February 13th, Galeria Pacifico always features a variety of Alfredo Langarica`s paintings.
