Trio and Vitea restaurant owner/founder Bernard Güth and his wife, Lourdes Maldonado, held an inauguration party to introduce their latest restaurant, Sandzibar.

Situated on La Manzanilla beach in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Sandzibar adjoins the spectacular Alamar Beach Club. As well as being the restaurant for Alamar, it is also independent from the beach club and therefore open to anyone to visit and enjoy. Bernard’s restaurants (with partner Ulf Hendriksson) in Puerto Vallarta are longtime favorites with locals and tourists, and always top winners in the Reader’s Choice awards. Sandzibar, we are sure, will be no exception.

The restaurant features a wine bar at the entrance, covered sitting area near the beach and a raised terrace overtop of the beach. The menu is casual beach dining (Bernard has even added a pizza kitchen), but with the sauces and tastes that Bernard is famous for. With the beach club next door, Sandzibar makes for a great day at the beach, while for locals in the region, you now have access to the fine culinary expertise of Bernard in La Cruz.
