Stand-Up Paddle Race Series Comes to Banderas Bay

Published Dec 7, 2011, 2:25pm -

Pacific Paddle Surf, a premier provider of stand-up paddle board instruction and Paddle Surf Vacations in Jalisco and Nayarit, Mexico, is organizing a series of events open to the public, with races for all ages and abilities. The series, called Paddle for PEACE, features fun relays, as well as spring and distant races for men and women. And for those new to the sport, there is the opportunity to try out your own skills as you learn the increasingly popular sport of paddle surfing, with careful supervision provided by the organizers. Proceeds from lessons from the pros go to PEACE Mexico, a local non-profit that works hand in hand with communities in Mexico to provide holistic education combined with community action programs that enable people to improve their quality of life as well as their financial stability.

The dates for the upcoming races are:

  • January 8 – Nuevo Vallarta
  • January 29 – Bucerías
  • February 12 – La Cruz de Huanacaxtle
  • February 26 – Grand Finale Party (details to be announced).
