D'Z Route 66 Rock'n Roll Diner recently opened a new restaurant with a "retro" party for it clientele, where there were dancing shows featuring characters from Grease and even Elvis Presley (look-alike) showed up! The new restaurant opened its doors on November 25 downtown on the "Street of Cafes" of Basilio Badillo.
This is the third diner opened by Armando and Michelle Jimenez and their second in Puerto Vallarta. The first was opened in 2000 in the United States, in Kingman, Arizona, close by the famous Route 66 highway, where celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey and Carlos Santana have signed the guestbook. Their second diner was opened in Marina Vallarta in October of last year.
Its original concept is alluding to the 50's and 60's with a jukebox, white and black mosaic floors and pink and turquoise walls, chairs and tables adorned with records and photos of movie stars famous from this time such as James Dean, Elvis and Marilyn. The menu includes American dishes such as burgers, hot dogs, root beer, milkshakes and fried chicken, among others, for both lunch and dinner. Breakfast buffet is traditional American. Get retro and visit Route 66!
