La Leche, the successful Puerto Vallarta restaurant operated by brothers Alfonso and Ignacio Cadena, received the “Best Restaurant Concept” award from Travel + Leisure magazine in a sumptuous ceremony that took place in Mexico City this past Friday, October 28. The event, organized by Travel + Leisure along with CNN Expansión, and Editorial Expansión (one of Mexico’s most prestigious publishing groups) took place at the St. Regis Hotel in Mexico City. While other noteworthy restaurants and chefs from different cities throughout Mexico were also awarded, La Leche was the only restaurant from Puerto Vallarta to receive such distinction.

Chef Alfonso Cadena comes from a lineage of exemplary French gastronomy that goes back four generations, while his brother, Ignacio, functions as creative director and has been responsible for the distinct branding that characterizes the eatery. Through the fusion of their unique talents, La Leche encompasses ambiance, design, menu concept, quality in the kitchen, service, advertisement and image.
