Hilton Worldwide signed a franchise agreement with Grupo Hotelero Santa Fe to operate a new hotel that will be the first Hilton property in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Scheduled to open in spring 2012, the Hilton Puerto Vallarta Resort will be located close to Puerto Vallarta International Airport and the cruise ship terminal. It will offer 259 guest rooms, five dining options and meeting space that will include three conference rooms and a ballroom seating up to 600 people for a banquet. The all-inclusive resort will cater to travelers seeking relaxation and rejuvenation in the world’s most sought after destinations. It's actual location has not been officially disclosed.

According to Dave Horton, global head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, the new hotel is part of Hilton’s plan for rapid expansion in Mexico and elsewhere in Latin America. “Latin America remains a key development market for us as our brand continues its rapid global growth,” he commented.  ”Hilton Puerto Vallarta will be a much anticipated addition to this leading leisure travel market.”
