Puerto Vallarta and Bahía de Banderas' governments announced the creation of the Metropolitan Development Council, a first step to implementing the Metropolitan Fund that will promote joint projects for the region. Additionally, a Trust and Investment Management committee and a Project Subcommittee were formed. Other projects, including the building of a new bridge over the Ameca river that connects Bahía de Banderas and Puerto Vallarta, with an investment of $75 million MX, were also announced.
