Bahía de Banderas Welcomes Time Zone Change

Bahía de Banderas Mayor Hector Paniagua led an official ceremony for the time zone change that incorporates his municipality to Mexico's central time, two hours ahead, to match Puerto Vallarta's time zone, this past April 4th. Puerto Vallarta Mayor Salvador Gonzalez Resendiz accompanied by council and officials members and region's businessmen such as Aerotron's Enrique Tron attended the ceremony that took place in the early hours of the day. The senator who lobbied the time zone initiative before Mexico's senate, Raúl Mejía, was also present at the event, recounting the seven-year effort during a brief speech.
