Alvaro Cueva, arguably the most read and respected television critic in Mexico, praised local chef Alfonso Cadena’s television show, currently broadcasting in the El Gourmet cable network (www.elgourmet.com). In his column, published by the Mexican media group Milenio, he wrote: “West/USA aired a show where Jalisco’s chef Alfonso Cadena travel across the US west coast cooking and visiting restaurants. Highly recommended!” Cadena studied graphic design, participated in shows for new musical talents and even had some success as a musician before becoming a chef. Today he is committed to high-end cuisine, continues to host a television show in El Gourmet and successfully runs La Leche, a restaurant in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
