Kaiser Maximilian

Olas Altas 380-B, Emiliano Zapata, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco.
(322) 223-0760     maximili@prodigy.net.mx     kaisermaximilian.com

If you enjoy European sidewalk cafés and fine continental cuisine, this award-winning eatery evoking Old Vienna in its heyday is sure to charm you. A longtime Vallarta favorite, its Austrian owner, Andreas Rupprechter, named the place in honor of fellow countryman Maximilian, Mexico´s former emperor. And Maximilian himself would have loved dining here, perhaps choosing hearty comfort food like wienerschnitzel with potatoes and Austrian salad or delving into gourmet renditions of contemporary European fare. Join them for the Festival Gourmet from Nov. 16 onward with guest chef Daniel Eardley and Tara Glick.Daniel attended Culinary Inst. of America in NY and worked in Napa at Micheael Chiarello´s TRA VIGNE and now is with Marc Forgione at the American Cut Steakhouse in NY, and Tara Glick is the pastry chef. Make reservations for a six course dinner with wine pairing on Nov. 18 at 8 pm.

Working "from the ground up"

Originally from Talpa de Allende, chef Juan Carlos Palomera began working "from the ground up" at Kaiser Maximilian 18 years ago. "Kaiser has been the best culinary school I could have envisioned", he comments, recalling the many European and US chefs who have visited the restaurant year after year during the Festival Gourmet Internacional. "This has allowed me to evolve and develop my own creations."
