Open since October 2010, Galería Contempo features paintings and sculptures by a new generation of Mexican contemporary artists, many of whom have not previously exhibited their work in Puerto Vallarta, such as Irma Grizá, Abelardo Favela and Maritza Vazquez, whose giant sea urchin installation is featured on Puerto Vallarta´s Malecon. Interestingly, most of the artists currently represented by the gallery are women.
